‘Real’ fake tile for backsplash mod?

I’d like to add a backsplash to our 2018 SLX212, behind the kitchen counter and match it in the bathroom. I’ve seen some threads here mention Smart Tiles but, unless I’m wrong, they appear to be soft vinyl, like kids’ “puffy” stickers . Is there a nice acrylic faux tile that would be lightweight yet still stick on and look more like ceramic? Thanks in advance!

I have seen them in Lowes tile section. Stick on and they look rather good!

Here are some shots of the back splash we put into the bath. Easy install, about 30 minutes. We purchased the tiles at Home Depot which has a much better selection than either Lowes or Camping World (overpriced and minimal selection). They look virtually identical to ceramic tiles without the weight (important) and mess.

Color variation is due to available lighting.

Looks good. I wonder how that adhesive will hold up to winter temps, etc.

Made it through a south Georgia winter .

A friend who lives up in northern Wisconsin mounted one sheet onto a piece of wall board and left it in his TT over the winter. He said it was still sticking, like it was when he stuck it on. He plans on installing it in his bath and above the kitchen sink in his TT this spring. Will have his results from the install in about a year.

We installed mosaic ceramic tile, using thin set and a polymer grout. We've had no problem at all with it coming off or the grout cracking, and it's been a year with lots of bumpy roads. We just didn't like the selection or look of the rubber groutless. Wish I could find my close-up shots. It's beautiful.

Is this the equivalent of Vinyl Plank Flooring for back splash?

Thanks all. As for temperatures, our test will be Northern Cal summers -- here in Redding we had 72 days over 100 degrees last summer!

I guess you can call it that, but you do have to make sure you take into account the heat coming off the oven vent and deflected off pots.

So, we ended up going with a Aspect stainless mini-subway tiles for our kitchen and bathroom. They are metal 1X2.5” tiles on peel-and-stick sheets. I also used some dabs of poly construction adhesive for good measure. Simple project and should be easy to maintain.
