Removed part of top bunk on 29.5 Jayco

Wife and I been wanting to do this for a few years now, we run a fishing camp and always have guests like family staying in our trailer not many like the feeling of being crammed in such a small area, we didnít want to take the entire bunk out so we just made it into a twin, still some finishing to do but gives the people sleeping in the back more comfort now.

Oh, that's nice! I hadn't considered a bunk model b/c I really don't need it, although it'd be nice to have a nice sized spare bed. I've tried the bunks at the shows and they all seem a bit cramped for an adult to climb in and out of, but always though 'if only there was a double wide, single bunk with nothing above or even like you did here...simply a shelf/storage area, would be nice and worth getting a 'bunk' model.

Nice work!

Nice upgrade. We are thinking about something similar in our 33RBTS. Remove the part of the upper bunk that hangs over the lower bunk which annoys our daughter then converting the upper bunk area to storage cabinets. Only issue would be the long reach to get to items because of the lower bunk. May need to consider a design with drawer slides or something similar.
