RF remote control for slide-out

Hello all,

I have recently installed an RF remote control so that I can be outside making sure my slide-out is clearing everything when being extended.

Fairly cheap and easy mod to do. Real happy with the results.

I can provide more details if anyone is interested.

My RV mods: Remote control for slide out

Cheers,

JF

Sounds like a great mod. We have one of those remotes on our trailer that lets me extend the slide, the landing gear, and even put the awning out. Love it!

I love my factory remote. Makes set up and tear down so much easier for one person to do. That would have been a great mod on our JayFeather with the large queen bed slideout sticking out the rear.

That's the main reason why I did it. Getting this huge bed slideout out safely is always a challenge. Now with the remote, I can have fun doing so.

I am looking at putting the awning on a remote as well, and heck, anything else that can be put on a remote... can a microwave be put on a remote??! Dang!

I have added a diagram on the page My RV mods: Remote control for slide out, explaining how the RF switch is connected. I tried shooting a video explaining the connections but I ended up not liking the results so I want to shoot it again before sharing it.
