Satellite Ladder Mount

Hi All,

I would like to somehow construct a ladder mount for my Tailgater Satellite that would attach to the side of the ladder and stay there. I want it to be telescopic meaning when not in use or traveling I can collapse/bring it down (then remove the dish) and when parked I can put the dish on it and extend it up above the roof line.

Has anybody done something like this or seen something like this? TIA!

The only commercial one I've ever seen is the WINEGARD and it's permanent. If you have something that telescopes it would need to be rather stout so it doesn't sway in the wind.

I was considering the same thing, but I’m not normally in the same spot, so I need to move my dish around to get a signal. I seldom put it in the same spot unless I’m in a clearing.

I do mount a cell phone booster next to my ladder. I use a extended window washer pole and attach with command strip broom handle pole holders, works great. Not strong enough for a satellite dish.

About half the time I put the dish on the roof, but as I get older, going up the factory ladder with the dish has been getting risky. Now, most of the time I have a little folding side table that I can move around and keep the dish about 2 feet off the ground.

My number one rule, don’t risk falling down.

Yes, I agree. I am thinking about how to construct on myself.

I depend on solar so I am never under a tree, always clear sky views so I would be good just getting above roof line. And I too don't want to be climbing up the ladder!!
My wheels are churning to figure out a DIY solution

Both great links and very close to what I want to do. I am wanting to do something where I can leave the pole on the ladder and just have to put the dish on the top and then raise the pole, all while not climbing on the ladder.

We'll see......

this is the mount for my Starlink.. It's a 2 inch ABS SCH 40 Pipe held by two Jeep Rack Accessory clamps.. I used this same design when i had my Dish Playmate before i got the Starlink. Then i used a 2 Inch Coupler with an 1/2" x 12"x12" sheet of ABS glued to the coupler and attached to the pipe..The Playmate was attached to the ABS Sheet. I used ABS glue to weld the ABS sheet to the coupler. Rock Solid and worked well.
