Sewer Hose Weight
Trying to post this again. Last trip the elbow that drains into the sewer got dislodged, not sure how. I wanted something more secure. Took this piece of scrap steel and cut out a section that will fit around the elbow connection and large enough to be able to put a rock or weight on it if the ground isn't level. Am anxious to see if it works.

Awesome idea. I carry a canvass money bag filled with sand that I lay over top of the sewer connection if the pipe is not threaded. I've had my "donut" work itself out several times, fortunately not while actually dumping the tanks. I thought my idea was pretty cool until I saw yours...

Agreed, this is a good idea. Flat and will not take up space. Maybe copy it with a sturdy piece of plastic, since I do. Ot have any metal cutting tools.

I had some Plexiglas but was concerned that the small tongue would crack, especially if you have to use an additional weight. If you had a piece of polypropylene I would try that. Good luck!

Looks pretty good but how heavy is it. I always use a donut or screw into pipe. Once in coulter bay full hookup campground the donut did its job but the pipe was broken about two feet below ground and the whole thing blew up out of the ground. Not happy since I just came from dry camping in Yellowstone and tanks were full quite a mess. Take care

It weighs 5.5 lbs. It is 12" x 8" x1/4." It is steel. it stores flat or standing up in my storage area where I keep all of my sewer attachments/accessories.

Sewer Weight In Use
Tried the new weight in multiple camp sights. The only minor issue was what to use to stabilize the height so it sat flat on the elbow fitting. Always found something to use. This is a keeper.

Norty, I saw that when you originally posted it. Had I know about it it would have saved me the trouble of making my weight. Maybe I should just ask you before I do anything, you have way more experience than me.  . The one advantage to mine is that it takes up virtually no space. In my MRB, there is very little storage area as the Murphy Bed takes the entire front pass through storage space.
