Side-View Cameras
Installed a couple of side-view cameras on my Jay Flight 26BHW
Changing lanes has always been a terrifying experience for me since I cannot see anything alongside, especially if on a turn.

Do you have tow mirrors? I use ours all the time when towing and the view is very good for turning and what is next to us.

What system did you get? I can't see the picture. I have been looking at the new furrion Vision S wireless camera system that has side view cameras that mount onto the trailer, replacing the amber side marker lights but that system is spendy!

I tried attaching tow mirrors to our Jeep Grand Cherokee (our TV), and it just didn't work well for us.

It was pricey. No question.
But here is the link:
https://www.tadibrothers.com/product...o-side-cameras
The customer service at that place is phenomenal.

Do you have any problems with the Tadi Brothers cameras? I have a 4 camera system and have had nothing but issues getting it to work reliably. Especially the rear cameras. They claim 125' distance but I think my 40' Pinnacle is too much for it. Customer service has been helpful and they have sent me a bunch of equipment to help troubleshoot the issues. But I may have to return and try the Furrion. Hoping mounting screw holes will not be an issue when switching systems.

First Trip of the Season this Weekend
We're taking her out for our first trip with the cameras this weekend. So I'll have a more complete review after that little adventure.
In my tests, I've had a good signal strength from both side cameras. Total distance from them to the where I sit is about 18'.
I have not installed the rear-view camera yet. If you're behind me, I feel bad for you, but you're not my problem. Pass me.
And if I'm backing up without my wife guiding me, then I'm exercising poor judgment.
That camera would be about 40' from the driver's seat, and the signal would have to get through the TT structure. The antenna position would be important once I do install the camera.

Huge Improvement
Just cracked a beer after our first drive with the cameras.
We live near Baltimore, which is among the worst cities for rush hour in the country. The beltway has crazy traffic patterns with lanes ending and double exit lanes, not to mention the bad drivers all around.
Having that extra visibility made all the difference in the world, especially since I’m not all that experienced with pulling a TT.

I heard (for the 2019 slx8) the Furrion Vision S side cameras won't work because of the smart lighting and or the led lights not having enough juice to power them. I really want to add them but not sure about running a new power wire to the running lights, that might be a bit above my abilities. Anyone else installed them and run into issues?

I ran wires directly to the battery, with a cut-off switch on the negative line so that I can turn them off.

Have/had wireless system from TABI Bro's. have a 2500HD with a topper and a 28RLS (about 34 ft)
3 cameras, one top each side front facing back down the side of the trailer and one rear camera
when it worked, great.
Side cameras worked pretty good. I only had to put my wife out twice to spot in over 10,000 miles and about 100 RV campsites.
My side cameras get the side of the trailer and a few lanes. great for seeing down the blind side of the trailer.
most of the time rear camera worked only occasionally when backing, I'm guessing too far to transmit. I put better antenna, extended it 1/2 up the trailer, no good. I'm probably going to go to a wired system.
6 months after warranty expired, one flooded with rain water.
I moved just moved one to the back of my 7x12 trailer and don't have much better rearview. very choppy, 1-3 seconds behind and limited while driving forward.

@Rockaw. Sounds just like the system I got.
I still haven’t installed the rear view camera, mostly because I haven’t really needed it. I put the side view units under the trailer and get the exact benefit as you. It has made my wife so much calmer on busy highways because we can both confirm that a lane is clear before making a move. And it helps me because she can be an extra pair of eyes for me.
