When we got our current trailer, it was already in very nice shape and virtually everything worked great. I did the usual switch out of bulbs to LED, added three more batteries, and installed a second inverter in the forward storage. The wife decorates a bit and replaces the blinds.
It's just her and me, and the trailer is a 1998 M210, 17 feet.
I wire the second inverter so that we can use battery power AC both under the dining table and back in the bedroom. With four batteries going, everything is available except the microwave. For that, I run a small portable dual fuel generator and only run it on propane.
The big cabinet in the bedroom? Gone. The bunkbed, same thing. This turns it into a real bedroom for two and completely open. I installed a small shelf on the forward side and mounted a TV on the wall, two speakers next to it, and a mini DVD player on the shelf. Now we have a 17 footer with a real bedroom. We boondock a lot, so we don't want to go bigger right now, but it's been modded for comfort. If I ever sold it, I would list it as not recommended for a family, but for a couple who wants to go everywhere, no matter how ridiculous.
No worries. We're keeping it around for a while.
