Sleeper Loveseat Repair :(

So on the 1st night of camping with our new 2015 5er the sleeper loveseat broke , the middle fold out section is a time bomb waiting to explode and ours exploded on day 1 lol. So heres the problem the support braces are just 1/4" packing straps melted together with 6 of them to hold all the weight. I called my dealer and hes 3 hours away and cant look at it for three weeks, and we leave for a month long trip next week so I came up with a pretty simple solution to fix the problem. I got some chair webbing and screws and made it like a chair seat to support the weight. Took about 30 minutes to drill the holes and attach the webbing and now it should last a long time.

Getting work done this time of year is not easy. Your fix looks like something they should have done at the factory.

Thumbs up

Great job, Ll2! And your repair will last years longer than the dealer's "warrantee repair" would have. Thanks for posting the pics!

We had a sofa problem and Jayco replaced the cushions. We try to NOT sit on it any more than necessary.
