Some Mods to the 30U

During the last camping trip and also at home I have done a few things.
Added shore power hookup so no more shove the cable in the hole with the mice. (was just out there looking over some stuff and found a mouse looking things over so, just in time)

Bought some of those china LED's. in our old PUP the double lights we could have one or both on but in the LGT we can only have both on so I did a little modding and we have,

The green switch has an LED built in but i did not hook that up as why burn battery?
If DW or the girl (we men don't need night lights) want a night light, I can hook one up.
Then to see where the Battery is at I added this, need to find a little trim to clean it up.

Should give better info than the factory one next to it.
And last to make sure my LP does not join my MIA battery,

That's all for now but I will have some more by the end of the summer.
Happy camping all.

Dale, thanks for sharing your mods with us. I like how you used a gate hinge to attach the battery box metal straps to. That was a smart idea and one I haven't seen before. It's too bad we have to secure everything but I guess it's the world we live in. Enjoy your summer.

Thank you for the kind words, If I had seen some of the other "Hey battery, stick around" photos might had done one of them. But mine works and I don't have to crawl under to unlock it.
Will post up others as I do them but it will be a bit before I can get on them, as I just discovered a leak in the top of the front cap that i need to find and seal. And the seal looks good all the way across so I have to strip and clean the whole top and probably the sides to know i have fixed it.

I really like the battery holder mod. One of my relatives lost his batteries last week. His trailer was parked in the driveway.

As was mine when it walked away. $100.00 my cost and whoever took it got $5 -$10 bucks for it.
