Stay Longer tee for propane

By Marshall Excelsior ME420P Stay Longer Tee w/ POL.

Another fellow posted a picture of this on one of the threads here and I was instantly impressed. I have been wanting to attach one of our Partner Steel stoves to the external propane and it won't work with two regulators in-line. I also wanted to use a stove I already had instead of buying a new one. I would just have to replace the inverted flare fitting with a QCC1 1/4" male gas fitting.

Easy-peasy right? Au contraire mes amis. Nope. It have a flow restrictor in the male end that doesn't allow for gas to flow. Fortunately, I had another unrestricted fitting at hand, so I replaced it. Now, it works wonderfully.
I'm sure they put redundant restrictors, throughout, but I didn't need them.
Second, I soap sprayed the fittings before and after the work, please check all of the fittings for leaks, not just your work. I had two existing leaks on the factory work.

Yes, I would buy again.

This is what I have and I see used most often here. This pulls propane from 30 or 40 lb tanks so that you do not need to worry about using up what is in the RV tank and having to tear down to go get propane. If you T off of the 40 lb tank to your Bar-B-Q you do not need to remove the regulator.

I had wanted to just run my stove from my large tank, though I can see the value in having a tank you can just fill without moving the rig.

It is worth it if you stay one place for any length of time or it is cold outside and you are setup and don't want to tear down.

I have two 40s and swap out as needed thus never touching the coach tank.

I have the connector ordered and will be swinging by my place to pick up an extra tank to give it a try on our way out again.
