Can you elaborate on the locking fresh water inlet? I used a spare piece of el cheapo pine laminated shelving for a stove top/sink cover/cutting board. When it gets ratty, it will be replaced. I like your cover!
Thanks in advance

Your mods look great and good ideas for all of us but for me there's only 1 problem!!! Every time I think I'm almost done someone posts another great idea that's a must have so now I guess covering the steps will be added to my guy list. Thanks for posting that one.

Nice mods!
We used a smaller bamboo cutting board from Tuesday Morning on our stove.
We've been looking at step covers. Would you mind elaborating on how you did those? Did you buy them or make them?

Kjohn, my camper had the regular round style open fresh water fill with exposed cap. The replacement I bought at CW for $24. The cut out part of the new one was square so I had to "square up" the hole for it to fit. Leveled it up, drilled new mounting holes, reconnected both hoses, butyl taped it, mounted it and applied some Dicor. The reason I did it is because my camper is stored away from home and although the area is gated, I wanted a little deterrent from anyone putting anything but water in the tank. Just paranoid I guess. BTW, I think JR Products makes a locking cover now that has a round insert, so no extra cutting. I'd post the link, but I'm still working how to do it so I don't screw up the entire Forum

Bob, I made them from an old camper mat. It's outdoor carpet from Menards. I think the dimensions I cut them are 22in wide and 21 in long. Steps are 24in wide but I didn't want to go all the way to the edge. The steps on my TT are 10 in wide [pretty standard] with a 1in overhang on both sides. I had the grommet kit as well. Installed 4 grommets on both ends, then I'll wrap the steps with the grommet holes on the underside, then zip tie them tight so they'll be out of sight. If you buy the outdoor carpet, lets say 2ft by 8ft and they will cut to order, the grommet kit and the zip ties it will still be less than half the cost of buying them at CW.

TCNASHVILLE: Thanks for the info. Locking that cap is a very good idea. Not paranoid at all. The world is bulging with morons who wouldn't think twice about dumping who knows what in there. I will have to look into doing something about mine too, as it is stored at the back of my shop downtown.
