suction cups

Most of our camping is near water. I was thinking of making a changing room out side of the camper so we are not dripping water coming from the pool, lake, or river. I was going to use suction cups with hooks to attach a small tarp to the side of the camper. my question is, will the suction cups hurt the fiberglass side of the trailer?

Not sure, but it would be an easy and cheap test.

I used indoor command hooks outside my door, they have been there since the spring of 2012. They have held up nicely. Find the right one that will fit your shower curtain and they will last a long time and no one will worry about them falling down.

Some fiberglass may not be smooth enough to seal a suction cup. You wouldn't want it to fall down at the wrong time! Oh My!

You can buy a pop-up change room for use at the beach for under $40. Have you considered something like that?

Bill, I really like that idea. We use our outside shower to wash greasy dishes and on occasion I've used it for a shower at night. Your enclosure looks like you could remove the 5 lateral pieces at the back and keep the sides together when your ready to move. Have to put this one on the list.

I have been using suction cups for years. Had a shower contraption on our first smooth wall TT with PVC and suction cups as well.

Now I use them mostly for wire grommets to run power to my awning. No scratching or marks other than easily removed dirt.

I also own a Cabelas outdoor shower enclosure for dry camping. It is lightweight and large enough for changing. I put an extra shower hose on my outdoor shower to run it into the enclosure. Not a cheap investment, but very effective.
