Norty those bolts are not knurled. In order to get them pulled into the hangers properly they need to be torqued. Standard bolt maybe ok to snuggled up.

No disagreement here. I tend to stick to the minimum side of torque requirements. Last time mine were maintained, I had someone do it. Last week, I was under there and checked them and found that they were not knurled. Last rig I had they were. No matter, they still need to be torqued.

I’ve got a 2017 Jayco Eagle Ht. 2 of the 6 bolts were oblong and the nylon bushings were gone!! Kinda scary knowing it’s only got about 3000 miles on it. Mine are the cre3000 as well

Attachment points for X-Factor
I've been considering installing the MORryde X-Factor at the middle (LRE) point as well as the rear leaf spring hanger due to a leaf spring failure. We are upgrading the springs from 3500 to 4000lb springs as well. Question - does the X-factor need to be attached to the spring hangers to be effective for the rear? Reason I ask is that the plumbing totally blocks a path from the rear spring hangers across the underside of the Pinnacle. What if a pair of braces were welded on to the frame further to the rear of the coach onto which the ends of the X-factor could be bolted onto the frame. Same exact installation except not attached to the existing leaf spring hangers. Would this make the X-factor ineffective? I cannot tell if the purpose of the X-factor is to just strengthen the frame (in which case it can go anywhere along the length) and/or if it needs to be positioned at the leaf spring hanger. Surprisingly, the techs at Lippert did not know the answer either. I suspect that they dont want to commit as it would open up folks welding on new braces onto the frame to use the X-factor. It is very convenient to be able to use the existing leaf hangers, but not if there is an obstruction that cannot be overcome underneath the coach. In any event, we will install at the center LRE point, but was curious if it was worth adding a rear to a custom hanger?

We had the X-factor installed on our previous SOB, on the front and back spring hangers. My understanding is that the X-factor braces the leaf hangers when making turns. If you've seen the trailer wheels flex in or out during a tight turn, there is a lot of torque on the leaf hanger. The X-factor helps to prevent the hanger and frame from twisting. All this to prevent breakage which usually occurs at a weld.
Our current Jayco came with C channel welded from one hanger across to the other hanger to provide the same functionality of the X-factor. I have seen broken welds on the forum even with the C channel welded in. Just a poor welding job.

That makes sense - it helps keep the frame from twisting but also braces the spring hangers to keep those from twisting. It would be interesting to know how much the effect is - in other words, is keeping the frame from twisting 50% of the benefit, or is bracing the spring hangers like 80% of the benefit. In any event, we will install one on the LRE suspension....
