No I'm not tired of the thread if someone has useful info on a DOMETIC swap then please post away. What I'm tired of the " I swapped my Coleman analog to a digital " Why can't people get it through there head Coleman and dometic are to completely different systems they are not the stats of old ! They no longer interchange!

But if you actually can help the OP fix his problem why don't you have at it. We all might learn something.

Typical, can't see past the end of your own nose . I said in the first post that it requires a lot of rewiring and is not a easy swap at all. If you would like me to detail it in bullet points I will . I'm pretty sure if the OP wanted to rewire and tear the a/c apart his brand new 30k trailer he would have asked for further details. I don't enjoy being rude but when it has been clarified in numerous other threads that Coleman and dometic do not interchange anymore and some dip.... says " I swapped........" It burns my a.. Sorry if I hurt your feelings...

Time to calm down over here. They will lock the thread and then someone will start another one asking the same thing.

If you go back and look at the OP, he never specified which thermostat he was talking about, and to a novice, it could appear it could have been any one of them. Even the title of the thread didn't specify. That's why people jump in with generic thermostat responses.

If it's a problem, you could always start a new SPECIFIC thread with SPECIFIC directions for responses.

He stated a 2019 38bhds and that it was a 3 wire system. Anyone with knowledge of what that is knows it is dometic. I don't respond to threads about what 5th wheel hitch to purchase because I don't know squat about it. I know hvac and electrical and have the same trailer . All I am looking for is people to read the post before putting up a response that is completely irrelevant to the OPs original topic or question. And I'll start the step by step thread for everyone who is interested.

Ok I'll be the first to apologize. I did my Coleman digital swap almost 4 years ago and quite frankly I can't remember how many wires it had. Just remember one thing though, something that is blindly obvious to you isn't so obvious to everyone.

Where are the moderators when you need one? We try to help with the best intentions and certainly make mistakes. That would include giving the wrong answer to the wrong question.

I'm trying not to take your last comment as a threat and am moving on. Have a nice day.

This thread has no longer become useful. It’s clear that the thermostat mod is different between Dometic and Coleman AC’s

It can be confusing to comment on a thread when the subject is changed or not clear.
