time to upgrade the battery

Hey guys im looking to upgrade the stock battery on my TT. Im not sure what capacity I need. I want to be able to run the heater and lights a few nights in a row without a recharge. what size/capacity have worked for you and how long can you run them?

The furnace fan will be the problem. It draws lots of 'juice'. Regular light bulbs and other draws will make the problem even worse.

I have LED lights and 2 group 27 'marine' batteries. I can run the furnace a couple of times during the night and first thing in the morning for 2 days before the 'resting' battery voltage gets down to the critical, 12v point. Also, we don't use the batteries for watching TV or anything else.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Im learning alot reading through those battery threads. oldmanAZ do you know what the amp hour ratings on your batteries are? also how do you know when your resting voltage drops below 12v?

They are the W*mart group 27DC and online it says 'Cold Cranking Amps: 750', but that specification is virtually meaningless.

I have something like this... https://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-Lig...X5YA7G2RCM75KE
that plugs in a 12v socket near my television connections. Monitoring the status of the 12v side of things is very helpful.

Remember, too, that the voltage you'll need to watch is the 'resting' voltage. As the battery(s) discharge, it can/will drop below 12 when there is something drawing from the battery.
