TV Bracket

My X19H has a nice spot for a TV on the cabinet next to the fridge. They have the video/audio cords from the head unit run to this spot. Underneath the top, they placed a 1/2" piece of plywood. I assume this is for mounting a TV stand of some kind. I also assume that mounting it to the wall would be a no-no!

My only problem was finding a stand that didn't mount into the wall and would tilt the TV enough. When the TV is that high, it needs to be tilted down in order to see it well. I did find maybe 2 but they were ridiculously priced, like $125 or more. I only paid $150 for the TV!

So, being that I worked in steel fab for a few years (engineer) I had some buddies weld up this simple base. Attached to the base (then the TV) is a $14 bracket I found on Amazon.

Thought I would share since it worked out so well. Has anyone else ran into this?

TV Stand plans

For anyone interested, here are the plans for the stand. You could take these to a metal fab shop to have it built. Also, the swing arm is here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
