DW just picked up two of these Sockets from Costco here in Ottawa (Merivale/HuntClub). I think she paid $24 for the 2-pack. A single socket at Home Depot/Lowes/Rona was anywhere between $28 - $32 so it was a good price.

For this alternative on Amazon for $10. It's not hard wired but it does add a third outlet and can be easily moved from one outlet to another. One drawback I found is that the outlets are a bit close together. My daughter has a clock with a wall wort that covers up the middle outlet.

I'd argue the 'placement is a pain in the neck' part. My 2015 19RD came with the same pair of USB charging ports under the kitchen counter right by the door as you enter/exit.

The really nice part is the power comes from the 12V system, so you can recharge the gadgets off the 12V battery when boondocking.
