Void warranty?
Would doing something like this void any part of the Jayco warranty? I think it's a great idea for storage of the WDH, just don't know if welding to the frame voids anything.

If you had a leaky roof, bad breaks, or a dead fridge there would be no impact to your warranty coverage. If you experienced a frame failure right at that point, they might legitimately argue the point. However, that's an incredibly unlikely occurrence with or without that mod...

It looks to me like a great idea. I'm gonna do that with my flat deck.
I think your warranty is safe.

My 2010 Hybrid has 4 receiver brackets welded ( one in each corner ) I put the hitch in the front and in the rear for the grill if I so choose and in the other rear corner I place my colander stand for washing fresh vegetables from the farmers markets. Wonder when they discontinued these brackets.

I used a bolt on receiver. I know it can be unbolted with my hitch attched, but someone would have a really hard time getting the hitch lock off. I keep telling myself I need to tack the bolts on the end, but I haven't yet.

That's not the best place in the world to weld. That area is under tension, and bouncing of the trailer could turn small weld issues into a crack in that member. A bolt on option would not have that potential issue, neither would welding to the top, if you have room.

DON'T WELD IT ON. it will affect the tempering (this from Jayco) use U bolts.

Well, going to call Jayco again today. Called yesterday and they said it wasn't an issue. Might just bolt it on regardless.

I used to simply pull the hitch out of the truck receiver and place the ball back into the tongue socket and lock it down in there. I'd leave the locking hitch pin in the hitch hole it's intended for. That way, thieves can steal neither the hitch, nor the trailer, without first destroying the locks.
