Thinking about replacing the old Shurflo pump. It is a 2.3 gpm unit and is 15 years old. Still works fine so will keep it as a spare.
The replacement I am going to put in is an Aquajet Variable Speed RV Water Pump, Model # 55Aquajet-ARV. Anyone else do this mod? What do you think of the pump?
Did you read the reviews on Amazon, after I did I would stay away. Cant regulate the high pressure 75-85psi, one owner had $400 damage from blown lines, others no warranty service, and it goes on and on about the very high pressure, be careful
Possible solution pump the water into a small tank then put pressure regulator on the outlet side set to say 40 pounds. This would do two things, prevent blow out of water lines and smooth out the flow of water to faucets. Not saying I am going to do that but is something to think about.
That all sounds good. I was not aware of the over pressure issue. Would it work to install a pressure regulator on the outlet side of the pump before water goes to the water lines?
