My suggestion would be to get a stud finder to see if you have any studs in that wall to mount to. If you find one, check it several times up and down the wall to be sure you are getting a good reading. Mark it in pencil on both sides of the stud. This is your mounting location to insert lag bolt or screws. Be careful not to use one that goes thru your wall and out the other side, although it may make a good hanger in your shower. LOL
The key for me was to mark the stud location up and down the wall to be sure I was in the right place. Then I drilled a pilot hole to test for wood shavings. If all looks positive then, secure your TV mount and you are good to go.
