Window awnings

Has anybody installed window awnings on their Travel Trailer? Did it help with the cooling? How hard to install? Any suggestions or problems? Any brand/model preference?

Looking to add some to our trailer. Have two large windows on the slideout (plus one at each end of the slideout). Then one bedroom and two smaller bunks windows on the driver side. Then a bedroom and kitchen window on the passenger side. Wondering which ones other than the two main windows should get them.

Thsnks.

In an older (insert other brand name 5th wheel here) tt, I tinted windows with 20% solar film. In my last unit, put 'limo tint' 5% in it and really reduced heat and cooling loss. No need for awnings when you can 'black out' windows.

We had three installed on our Jayco. Carefree of Colorado installed them but it doesn't look too difficult. It does keep the sun out and the coach is a little cooler. To me it was worth it.

window film vs.....

darker the windows the less solar load penetration. Worked for me!

Put them on every unit we've ever owned. TTs, FWs and MHs. Yes they do help and depending on the type window you have they keep the rain out when the window's open.

If you're a handy man a DIY install is easy. Just follow the directions.
