I made a pair in 2011 out of some clear cedar 4 x 4's, 1/2" Acme threaded rod and a nut made from 2" diameter aluminum that's knurled on the OD for a good grip. They work perfectly and can be deployed without the use of tools.

Great idea with the 2"od grip...Just using a wrench to adjust mine...

Don't really have a list or plans...
Can help you out
Makes two sets/one for each side
1 each 4X4X96" Don't need to be that long...just what I had
2 pieces of all thread 18" long--I used 3/8 that's what I had
Nuts and washers to fit the above...Had to run to Lowes for them
Measure out between the tires and add a bit to separate them--mine was about 5 1/2" cut on the short side
Cut a 30 degree angle with your miter saw with your measurement on the short side(Again mine 5 1/2") might need to adjust for your tires size and spacing
Drill a hole through the center for the all thread to fit
Add washers and nuts
Set oven temp at 325---wait wrong forum...LOL
That's it
They worked out great for us...
I guess it you had to but the 4X4 and all thread it would run about $15-20
One last note...you will see the wedge chocks still there. You still need them to keep you TT in place after you unhook
These are installed after you unhook and level your TT

So I guess if I had a white hawk with the spread axles I would just need longer 4x4? Do you know ho much these weigh? Trying to balance my weight versus cost for the extended x chocks

Mine are 3.5Lbs each
For the spread axels I would plan on 2 pieces of all thread for each to set closer to the tire for better balance.
You could also drill random 1" holes in the 4X4 to reduce weight

I've got the same chocks that I made probably 10 years ago. On their 4th camper, been through a tornado and still going strong. I'll take them over the store bought ones any day.

I'll be making a pair of them too. $20 for materials is certainly a lot cheaper than $79 each.
