Smile 2016 32BHDS - First Time Owners

We used my FIL's trailer (from a different manufacturer) for a few years and decided to get one of our own! Here she is after our maiden voyage.

Congratulations. We have the same model and so far we love it. Wasn't so sure about the J cube in the bunk room but it has worked out better than expected. The RV was delivered the first week of April and the only mods we've done so far was to put shelves in the master bedroom closets, a splash guard on the tub edge and cut a piece of carpet to fit the "shoe garage" and added baskets for the shoes.

We thought our grandkids were using a lot of water when flushing the toilet since it seemed our black tank was filling up faster than normal. I was moving some things my hubby had stacked in the outside kitchen and discovered a sticker "this sink drains into the black water tank" on the wall. We use the outside sink all the time so now we know what is going on.

Connie,

Do you have any pics of the baskets you use for the shoes? Where did you buy them?

If I had one complaint about the outdoor kitchen sink it would be draining to the black tank, and I guess the typical hard to reach under sink faucet.

TY!

Need-a-vacation, the baskets that I have for shoes are just plastic ones I purchased at the Dollar Store. Three of them fit long ways in that space and don't stick out. If the baskets get dirty I can just wash them out. Will try to remember to get a picture when we are at the campground this weekend.

Thank y'all!

BeenCamping40+Years, those are great tips! We were also a little unsure of the JCube sofa, but our little ones love it! They will be 2 & 6 (both have birthdays in the next few days). We like the fact that if they roll off of the JCube bed, there is not a long fall. I think they especially like that it is their space.

Connie,

TY!!!

Jonathan,

Our boys (twins, almost 13yo) also only sleep on the J Cubes. Only time one of the bunks was slept in was the first w/e we had the 32, and our boys weren't with us, just another couple that stayed that night. I don't think it is very much time the J Cubes are actually folded up. Lol

Here is the promised pic of the baskets we use for our shoes. Will replace with brown ones when I find them but these work for now.

The carpet is a piece of indoor outdoor that we cut to fit.
