Camping in Montana

Headed to the mountains last weekend, this is one of my favorite spots. It's dispersed camping without any hookups, nice a quiet and no crowd.

Very nice! Is the fence around your site to keep something in or to keep something out?

Looks great! Love going to great falls to shop and even camped there in may! Sadly couldn't make the journey this coming weekend to white fish with friends since we are taking a big trip next week

The fence is to keep our 2 small dogs from wandering off. This is the younger one.

They do pretty well but like to explore. The area we camp is national forest and has deer, elk, moose, bear and mountain lion.

Dumb question - what is the purpose of the fence?

Beautiful spot. I've never been to Montana, but it's definitely high on the list. Great photos too!

Where are you heading? Montana is huge and the camping varies greatly from the western part of the state to the eastern part.

Tell us where you're going and what kind of camping you like. We here in MT should be able to fill up your time here.

The closest place to where we cross would be Great Falls but all i can see is KOA, which is not a bad thing but we really like camping in the Trees. Also close to the shops & bars if possible & with power & water.
Thanks guys.......

Are you coming over the boarder towards Great Falls and directly back, or are you going East or West at all?

Yes we will be going towards Great Falls but no further as we only have a week. Leaving from Calgary on a Saturday morning and leave which ever campsite we are at on the following Friday.
