Unfortunately, some of those clouds coming off the mountain is smoke from the Jemez fire We have two pretty big fires in the state right now and it is limiting where we can camp...hope we get some rain soon!
Gorgeous, I use to do a lot of hardcore backpacking in NM. Absolutely loved the climate. If you need some rain, I will put in a request to try to ship you some of our excess to you.
Thanks for the kind words everybody! I do love taking pictures, I borrowed a camera from work, its a Cannon 60D and the thing takes beautiful photographs! Feel free to check out the album I uploaded yesterday for some more pics of our trip.

Yes! The climate, the food and the sunsets are some of the best things going for NM. We will gladly take some of that water off your hands
While we typically have some of the best sunsets I've ever seen here in NM, currently they are greatly amplified by the fires around the state. My parents like camping at Cochiti and playing golf. Also, tent rocks is a fun way to spend a few hours.

Agreed, it's very sad to see the state burning. We are in desperate need of some serious rain storms. I am hoping the monsoon can get here quickly! This was our first trip to Tetilla Peak, and we spent most of our time down in the water. I would really like to go explore Tent Rocks though
