Hatteras Island - Rodanthe, NC

I believe this was the 5th trip to the Outer Banks for our 314BHDS. First time this late in the year. Picture taken on Friday, July 29, 2011.

Camp Hatteras site #11 this year

Can you find the Eagle in the forest?

Taken from the top of the dunes.

We had a site on the "sound" side. Boy was it windy their when we camped in May, 2009! The lighthouse down the road was closed that weekend also. We still had a great time and enjoyed the campground

Now you know why the Wright Brothers went to the Outer Banks to test their gliders and make their first flight.

Here are pics from our experience at Camp Hatteras.

Pics include our Casita (before our Jayco) at our 'sound' site taken from the bathroom; beach side; sound side; sunset from sound side; Don flying his new kite!
