Going on my first interstate trip in Febuary.
Florida to Texas, along the Gulf. Learning all I can to have a fun, safe, and easy trip.

We did that trip last year between San Antonio, TX and Navarre, FL in the panhandle. Florida coast was absolutely stunning. The drive was okay.

If you're going along I-10, watch out between about Houston, TX and Slidell, LA (either direction). Some of the worst highway I've ever traveled (it's been that way all my life come to think of it!).

If you have a chance, just inside the MS border on the TX side (Pearl River), there is a VERY nice rest area, and adjacent to that is the "Infinity Science Center". It's part of the John C. Stennis Space Center. Really a cool stop that we enjoyed. The science center is not huge, but it's got a lot of good stuff including a Saturn V rocket, and several different engines on display. You can take a bus over to the Stennis Space Center as well, but we didn't have time for that. We spent a few hours in Infinity and got back on the road just before they closed. It was WELL worth the stop IMO.

I think I just added a great stop to my trip. Thanks for the info, Camper_bob.

Have to be very strategic about storage on this model. But I've started using one of the bottom bunks as a storage. Lose a bunk but gain some storage.

Your hideout looks like an Eagle HT 29.5 FBDS. That is the same trailer I have. It is very limited on storage but very spacious inside. My old trailer (you can see the info in my signature) had tons of storage and we loved that trailer but we needed a trailer with the bedroom on the same level as the rest of the trailer. Our grandson's get to use the stairs to the bunkhouse. I did a small mod or two that increased my storage. In the end I realized I carried way more stuff than I need or used. Enjoy your camper and see America.

Research and study pays for itself more than anything else. Keep watching and reading and then integrate your experience as you go. Learn that 'hideout' inside and out.
Looks like a nice rig - wishing you great adventures and memories in it : )
