New 2012 Jay Flight 26BH

We finally were able to trade in our 2007 Jay Feather EXP 232 hybrid for a new 2012 Jay Flight 26BH. We are very excited and have spent the last few nights getting it ready to go. So far I have replaced the bathroom sink towel ring with a better one we bought for the hybrid a week ago. I also installed the water pump accumulator and added foam insulators to the pump pressure hoses to quiet them down. When the A/C is running on low we can't hear the pump now! :hihi: Also had a buddy of mine build a 2" receiver hitch that bolts to the bumper for our bike rack. MAde some wooden clamp wheel chocks as well. Our first trip is Friday morning and we'll be gone a week! More pics when I get back.

Congratulation, we have the same TT and love it.

Be very careful with the bumper bolt on receiver...strongly recommend welding some additional support between the bumper and frame to keep those bikes off the highway.

We did have quite a bit of flex in the bumper so I added some support back to a crossmember. I also added and adjusting bolt to remove the play in the hitch. There is no movement now and the bikes barely bounce.

I also added a few interior pieces: paper towel holder, coat and clothes rack.

Coat rack near the door:

Clothes rack in our bedroom:

I still need to get pics of the towel holder in the bathroom and the water pump accumulator install as well as the wheel chocks.

Looks great.

I'm by no means a mechanical engineer, but the support you added to the bumper hitch certainly looks solid.

x2. just noticing but looks to have an abnormal amount for rust for a 1yr old unit.

Yeah it does. It was hauled to a spring show and they never hosed the underside off to remove the snow/slush and salt from under it. We didn't notice it until after we got it home. It really isn't all that bad and I am going to just touch it up after the next camping trip Columbus weekend.
