Our First camping for 2010

Sandy and I FINALLY got to start the 2010 season!!!
We usually start our season at a place called Rice Creek Chain of Lake which is just north of Minneapolis about 20 - 25 miles. It is centrally located for our first trip every year so we can have family and friends join us for Mother's Day.

In this photo you can see that is was rather cold and windy. We still had a good time with all of our family and friends. The Jayco and the F150 in the background is our set up. We have a bike rack on the back bumper, but we only use it at the site. We do not travel with it on. I covered it because it had rained all night Friday and the most part of Saturday morning. This photo was taken on Saturday around 11:30am.

We had more people join us throughout the day.

Sunday was a much warmer day (58 degrees) and more sun.
Our Grandson Austin received a few new gifts from Grandma and Grandpa (me). We set up his new picnic table and gave him a non-working cell phone to play around with. He likes to talk on the phone.

Sunday I decided to take photos of our family and friends "Rigs" as they came by our site. This photo is of my wifes Brother and Sister-in-Laws F150 and Jayco JayFeather 23B

This is a photo of a good friend of mine (Martin and his wife Debi) who just bought this whole set up the week before camping. This is their F150 and Prowler Lynx 830Y. I know it is not a Jayco, but that truck happens to be the same color scheme as mine. Their F150 is a year newer and an XLT. Mine is XLT Lariat. I had to give me a hard time about buying the same color truck as mine and NOT about buying a Jayco.

We had a great time. Sandy and I stayed Friday through Monday. Everyone else left on Sunday, so Sandy and I had a day to ourself.
We had a great time!!!! Thanks for looking!!!
By the way...................HAPPY MOTHER's DAY to ALL MOM's!!!

I've got a camera full of pictures...I'll have to make time to post them! So far we're really impressed with the Jayco! Two weekends & two trips under our belt! Best get used to travelling this way - we've got a cross-country move coming up!
