Nice unit. My wife saw a Rear kitchen Eagle HT at a show and really liked it. Would not work with kids though. Maybe someday.....

Very nice! We're considering this unit along with the Eagle 28.5bhds and a Snowriver 288bhds TT.

One thing I noticed is that the 27.5 we're looking at has the frameless windows. Didn't think it was an option as it's listed as standard on the Jayco web site, but don't see them on yours.

ya i didnt know they were available on this model

my wife and i saw the 29.5 BHDS at the toronto RV show she really wanted it cause it felt really big and open but it was about 1000 pounds heavier and with the half ton it was going to be pushing it to far for my liking, and besides the thing i like about the 27.5 BHS is that the bunk house has a door so you can shut the kids in there at night and not have to worry about waking them up

the only thing i really cared about was the hitch on the rear and the bumper mount BBQ, but i am looking forward to playing with the remote control for the electric jacks and awning, mine come with them front and rear which is cool

YEa, the Eagle Touring 28.5 BHDS we're considering along with the 27.5 HT is basically the same floor plan (can close the door to the bunks) with just a closet slide up front and a outdoor kitchen vs the outside door into the bunk for storage.

The frameless windows are showed as standard on your model. Not sure why yours doesn't have them. Maybe an earlier half of the year model or something?

We have the 2014 26.5 Eagle HT. Regarding the toilet paper, we removed it from the door (put a full length mirror in its place) and relocated the TP to the wall by the toilet. Makes much more sense.

i will have to look at that, im sure the wife would like to have a full length mirror seeing is we are talking about living in it and renting out our house to save money to buy a bigger house

but as far as the trailer itself i know it has been on the lot since we bought our 26BH in august so maybe thats the reason, but it has the led lights under the awning

Great looking unit. I really like the way they are improving the paint jobs on these campers. The older generic white with a few decals were getting old and outdated.

Yea, I relocated the tp holder to that small angled wall about head height (when sitting down) and it seems to work better, at least for us.

ya i have to agree, they are looking alot better and sleeker looking, they have always used bland colours on them tho, like this is brown and brown but other then the jayco toy haulers and the premium paint on the pinnacle they are all still kinda boring

i want a flat black and gunmetal gray fw, that would look sexy

I had looked at that same trailer but there was no way I would be able tow it and stay within my payload with my F150. They say these are half ton towable but with my payload capacity of #1400 and with a pin weight close to that it would not work. If towing with a 1/2 ton truck you'll need HD payload, reg cab and 2 wheel drive in order for it to be an option.
It's a great looking TT and I really liked the floor plan too but did not feel comfortable going over on my payload.

how is it that you only have 1400 lbs, mine has 1800, and as far as im concerned with my springs and new gears there are other trucks in my year range that have the same components and can do over 2000 payload, i have done all the math i will be way under on my GCWR and it also helps with my payload the fact that i dont have a spare tire either save me about 100+ lbs, and i plan to load more to the back to save on pin weight as well

like i said in the fall to spring 2015 i plan on upgrading to at least some sort of 3/4 ton

"how is it that you only have 1400 lbs, mine has 1800"
Well I'm not sure of your truck configuration but I have a 2012 Screw 4x4 with 157" box, off road package, back up camera etc. All this adds weight to the truck which reduces your total payload. The lightest pin weight on a FW in the floor plan we liked was #1200, so when you add #100-150 for a hitch and add 3 people in the cab as well as anything in the box or cab I was going to be over. I was not comfortable taking the chance going over. I researched many different forums for some time and listened to many people more experienced than me all saying the same thing. My point is if I had to buy another truck I would be looking at a 3/4 ton just as you said you would be doing next year.
