Question 184BH 2013 vs 2014

Hello all

I am looking to buy a 184BH and my dealer has 2013 models in stock. Looking online I am seeing a lot of references to the 2014 model.

Are there differences between the two and what are they?

Seems like I should be able to get a better price on the 2013 if it's a year old already and the 2014 is available.

We just bought a 2013 184BH a month ago. Make sure the 2013 is one that was manufactured with a 8000 btu a/c. Some were manufactured with a 5000 btu a/c. Ours was manufactured before Dec 2012 and had a 5000 btu. See the thread on this site about it. Our a/c didn't have the spec for a/c on the unit or in the manual. We had to get the serial number off the a/c and call Frigidaire to see what the btu was.

We looked into the 2014 after we bought our 2013. The changes to the 2014 are some decorative upgrades, the Jayco insigna changed on the TT and A 8000 BTU A/C. I imagine the a/c change is due to the complaints in southern states that the unit is not enough to cool. Ours is in the shop after first 8 hours out with a/c problems. Did not cool at all.

I just youtube'd a walkthru of a 2014. Compared to my 2013, the differences appear to be mostly cosmetic. The exterior graphics are different. The systems monitor, thermostat, and TV plug appear to be black in the 2014 - mine are white.

The video mentioned 4 stabilizer jacks - Mine only has 2 at the rear. Maybe a dealer installed option?
Also mentioned is a 2 way fridge - mine came with a 3 way.

Mine has the 5000 btu "DANBY" air conditioner. The model in the video appears to be different.

Great! That is about what I figured the differences were as there was not a ton written about them so I figured it had to be fairly minor.

I like the look of the 2013s so no issue there and as long as you grab on that is after the Dec 2012 date the AC shouldn't be any issue.

Thanks for the responses.
