Just seeing if anyone has had any experience with a bike rack on a 184BH or similar. We can fit our kids bikes in the van, but are considering a bumper rack for our 2 adult bikes.
Here's what I did on my 154BH. It only weighs about 20# and you can also use it as a platform for your waste tote or wet / muddy outdoor mats. It spreads the weight across the full bumper and it doesn't bounce / cause extra stress.
The drawback is the bikes need to be the same wheelbase and you'll need to find new home for your spare tire.
All the horror stories of stuff coming off in transit made me not do a bumper mount but I would really like to do it there. Currently we put the bikes inside our 184BH.

me too....no worries and I know where they are....my Gary Fisher and Trek are
just fine inside the 184bh...
