19BH Questions

Looking at a 19 BH trying to figure out if it will fit in my carport. The website shows a length of 22.2, does anyone know the measurement of just the box? I assume the 22.2 includes the bumper to hitch. I'd like to know just for roof coverage as the tongue can stick out a little.

Also does anyone know the height of one without the rooftop AC unit?

Do the side mounted AC units cool the trailer ok? It's my understanding they can be ran off a small Honda 2000 Generator. Thanks in advance

The length of our 195 RB does NOT include the hitch..
We have a small wall A/C unit.. Our Honda 2000i will power it but not it and the coffeepot and the toaster simultanousely

What I was trying to ask is if the box portion is exactly 19 feet with a 3 foot tongue?

Does the window sized AC unit cool the trailer ok? Are they quieter or more noisy? Do you wish you had the rooftop AC?

We’re in Maine
We don’t use the ac camping here
In Florida it cooled fine
In Arizona at 110 degrees I have not been in so don’t know
The 19 has not a thing to do with your length. It’s 22 feet and something. See the Jayco specs
Hitch is not included. So figure on 22 feet for your cover
Have no idea of ac height

Your saying the box is 22 feet long? I can't imagine the 19 is not the size as is a 19 foot box with a 3 foot tongue making the max length of 22 feet

The 8k btu side-mounted A/C will do fine for most conditions. However, if you are going to be in areas where it will be upwards of 100+ with any regularity I'd recommend the larger 13.5k btu roof mount unit. We have been in the 100+ temps a few times and managed but the side-mount worked pretty hard.

As for the dimensions check with your local Jayco dealer. Ours provided us with a copy of the 195RB page out of their sales manual that had all the detailed specifications listed for both the standard and Baja editions including options such as the roof mounted A/C, etc. It also listed various weights, capacities and insulation values for both models as well.

The 22' 2" exterior length for the 19BH listed on the Jayco web site would be the total length including the coupler. Box length will be approximately 3' shorter. From the detailed dimensions sheet I referenced in my previous post my 195RB has an overall length of 21' 8" which is the exterior length listed on the Jayco web site. The box length as listed on the detailed spec sheet comes in at 18' 5".

Jayco responded to my question finally but then they went on to say they don't make a roof air for this model:

Mr. Webb, thank you for your inquiry and for your interest in the 19BH Jay Feather 7 by Jayco.

The exterior height is 115”. (There is no option on this model for a roof-mounted air conditioner.) The exterior/travel length (hitch to bumper) is 22’ 2”. The “box” length is 18’ 7”.

Thank you again for your correspondence. Please let us know if you have any other questions or needs.

Jayco got back with me and said they had made an error on their specs on the website, the height with side A/C is 115 inches, with the roof A/C it's 121.
