1st Time Sanitizing 17MBS

Hi,
We just bought our first RV - the 17MBS. One of my initial tasks is to sanitize the water tanks. My problem is that after looking at the owner's manual , and downloading the OEM manual for the water heater, I can't determine where the water heater bypass valve is located. The owner's manual is the same for several models, so I'm not sure if the 17MBS simply does not have the bypass valve. Being new, I'm reluctant to start the process without being sure I won't damage the water heater. Thanks!

You will not damage the water heater, by adding bleach water to it. I always sanitize mine.

Now how to find the valves; locate the WH on the outside of you TT. It has a large metal cover. Go inside to that same location. You will need a #2 square drive screw driver. It will be under or behind a false cabinet door or under a dinette bench. You just have to snoop for the access. Mine is under the dinette bench. Removed one screw and I have access. I left the screw out.

There is an amount of water below the drain that remains in the tank. You definately want to sanitize it. In fact I try to rinse it a bit with sanitizing solution before I add some solution to sit in it.

One of the first things that I did was to change those screws with phillips screws. Jayco didn't even supply a square driver!!!

Question here??? Is the bed a Murphy bed that flips up behind the couch? I guess one could swap out what is probably a very uncomfortable mattress for a memory foam...
