Thanks for the follow-up and great to hear that your TV/TT combination performed well

The Reese HP Dual Cam once dialed-in is a great WDH with integrated sway control.

If you get a chance feel free to post some pics of your travels in another thread.

Bob

Quick update. Made it back home with the only thing "breaking" was the black plastic fender coming off. These things looked flimsy and sure enough, one of them could not hold up to the wind on the highway and popped over the (washerless!) screw heads.

I just took the entire thing off and threw it in my pickup. I'll get it repaired under warranty to see what they'll do to improve it, if anything. Kind of silly to put those eyesores on an otherwise nice trailer.

Also, posted a few pictures in this post:

Edit:

I should also say that the entire trip was 3300 kms (aboout 2000 miles)!

We Just bought a 28dsbh and only drove it 40mi from the dealer. I am towing it with a 2006 silverado 1500 z71with 3.73 and hd towing package and equalizer hitch. It was raining for part of the trip. The truck pulls the trailer with ease. 60mph was smooth. 65/68 was no problem but the truck would down shift and rpms would up. Didn't have any sway issues. Passed and was passed by semis with no issues. Mountains would be my only concern. I looked into the ford eco boost and the numbers look good with the max towing package and 3.73 gears. Any comments on the eco boost. Other option is a Chevy 2500hd drama diesel.

No concerns with the EcoBoost and hills or mountains. There were some fairly long/steep grades on the trip to and in the Black Hills.

Also, passing was not a problem. Was able to accelerate from cruise speed around 62 up to 75-80 in a heart beat.
