If you are familiar with this model you know that the slide is kind of half size and not flush with the floor. WE love this trailer but we would like to replace the J steel sofa with something more confortable and we dont care at all for an extra bed.

Since the bottom of the slide isnt flush with the floor that limit our possibility.

I am looking at someone that have already modify or replace de J steel sofa.

I am considering a few love seat model from ikea that are really thin when you arent installing the legs, that is an option i would think but do you have a better idea ? I hesitate to spend another 25000.00 for a trailer with comfortable seat

We ordered our 2014 WH30dsre with a regular type couch rather than the jsteel sofa. It opens out into a queen bed much like a residential hideabed couch but since it fits in the same space as the jsteel sofa, I would expect that it would fit your 1/2 depth slide. You could probably get any residential couch [more the size of a love seat length] that would fit your application. Suspect that would be cheaper than ordering an RV couch and you would end up with a better product.

How about two Lazy-boy wall hugger recliners? They are light weight, backs are removable, and comfortable. I put one in my 2018 Jay Flight 24RBS (moved table/chairs allowing room for one recliner)...., but my small slide is little deeper.

They will be too high remember my slide out isnt flush with the floor, thanks for the suggestion anyway

I have the same model and was thinking about swapping out the "sofa" for a pair of recliners. After reading your post, looking at how the coach is built I'm going to ripe it out and build a custom seating set. I don't see any other way of doing it. I'll build the frames for the chairs, don't think a recliner is an option and the DW is going to create the cushions.

What do you think?

Custom seat is great if you know how to do it, personnally Im looking at a love seat , Ikea style . without the legs on some of them I might find one with just the proper height , good luck with your project :-)
