Smile 2017 Hummingbird awning question

Hi everybody! I am brand new here so I'm sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else. I am purchasing a 2017 Hummingbird. Does anyone have one that they have added a screen room to? I haven't picked it up yet and I'm not sure if the awning has velcro or zippers already to add an awning or if I will need to purchase a starter kit and a screen room. Any info is appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State!

Here's a thread from 2017 that might help. I can't describe how it attaches to an awning.

I have a 2018 Bird and the attachment for screens is a track on the roller for the awning. As to a screen room most of us with Hummingbirds don't. In my opinion the awning arms are too weak and the amount of time to take the screen down before leaving the campsite or wind are a good argument against attaching to the camper. This isn't a comment against the Hummingbird but against the flimsy awnings common to many small campers. I don't even leave my awning out unless I'm nearby.

I my case I use a Clam Quickset Escape tent, others use the Gazelle. These can be left up under most conditions.

There is also a Hummingbird Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/Humm...?ref=bookmarks
