We have a 2017 Hummingbird 17RB and the dealer told us there is no manual crank. Apparently we have to move some wires ??? I'm not happy about that.

Perhaps someone else can confirm this.

on the manufacturer's website in the download area there is the hummingbird guide and explains what to do if the slideout engine does not work anymore

We just bought our 17RK this spring. The electric slideout worried me a bit. Thought I would be proactive and be as prepared as I could for potential problems with the electric slide out. Found this troubleshooting/service manual on the web. If your slideout quits and you're not pretty competent electrically/mechanically, you're in trouble.

To manually retract the slide, you have to disconnect both drive motors and find enough help to push the slide in by hand. Then you have to wedge something in to keep the slide from rolling back out while traveling.

Here's a link to the manual: http://www.primetimerv.com/download/...nentmanual.pdf
