I don't own a 23RBM, but I did search the forum by entering
23RBM + slide
in the keyword search. It found several, but I quit reading after I found one person that said it did clear the slide and another that said it did not.

Not much help.

I have a 23 MRB with the murphy bed and ours will just barely open the bed with slides in.

I also have a 23 MRB and it will close with no problem. But, there is something in the manual that states that the bed should be up prior to closing the slide. My guess is that the weight from the bed might skew the slide opening just a bit.

We have a 2016 Jay Feather 23RBM. It is not designed to have the bed down the with the slide in. In moments of mental lapse, we opened and closed the slide with the bed down. The interior molding around the slide caught the bed. When the slide was out and we tried to bring it in, it took a 4" chunk of the molding. When the slide was in and we tried to open the slide out, the molding caught the bed, and it pulled the molding off of its mount points. You would be wise to really check it out. I do not know about the White Hawk models or the 2017-18 Jay Feather models. Maybe Jayco addressed this.

It is an undesirable design feature (flaw) that we have in our notes for our next unit. We were in a monster wind and rain storm last spring. We had to bring the slide in because the wind was going to going to damage/tear the slide topper. Pine branches were dropping, and the topper did actually start to tear. So we put the bed up, brought the slide in, and waited out the storm crunched up on the sofa.

Had to cut away a little of the side molding (about 1/2 inch) for the bed to come down. Would not recommend running the slide in and out with the bed down but when parked for overnight stays where you cannot use the slide at least you can bring the bed down for the night.

The 23MRB is a White Hawk murphy. Apparently, the White Hawk murphy does allow the slide operation with the bed down. However, the Jay Feather model is 23RBM (switch the R and the M); the 2016 Jay Feather does not allow space for the slide to operate with the bed down. For whatever reason, Jayco missed the mark on this with the Jay Feather.
