I received an email reply from my Jayco HQ POC. Jayco is "planning" to manufacture a toe kick on the cabinet to allow the slide out floor to clear the cabinet. I was told this change has not been implemented yet so just be aware this may or may not happen.

"If" this fix is implemented, I wonder how Jayco will address the units already shipped?

That is poor engineering! Another reason to do a thorough PDI. I wouldn’t have taken it out of dealers parking lot like that.

Great point. Jayco knows they miscalculated the clearance of the 25RB's slide out flooring when closed.

My dealer said last week I'm on schedule to receive my 25RB in the next 2-3 weeks. I will know then how Jayco fixed this issue and will post back.

I wonder if the 2021 25RB model year represents the first time "vinyl" was utilized in lieu of carpet?

Bob
I’m told the answer is yes, this is new for those produced in 2020 for the 20201 season.

My guess is they will address only the ones who complain. I’ve got a reply form a well known YouTube dealership in another forum venue and he said “ It’s how the engineers designed it to be.” I’d guess it’s designed to last about as long as the warranty!

My BIL 2021 25RB 'arrived' at the RV dealer approx. 6-8 weeks ago and the issue hadn't been corrected. He did have the dealer generate a service warranty claim to Jayco....., hasn't heard anything to-date.

BIL hasn't towed his 25RB of the dealer's lot yet.

Jayco fixed their mistake. They made a toe kick (or notched out) the kitchen cabinet on the 2021 25RB to prevent the slide out's flooring from bunching up against the cabinet when closed. They also changed the cabinet door to solve the issue.

Yes, I will take this flooring over carpet any day!

Just curious......,

Has anybody with a 2021 25RB with this vinyl slide floor problem pressed the issue with their RV dealership...., or an active service warranty claim in the Jayco system??

I cannot get Jayco to repair this or even admit it’s a problem. Any suggestions?

It’s official
April Cline “the head of customer service at Jayco “ says they are unwilling to fix this problem, this is the way they designed it and I just have to accept it.😡

My 2022 28.5 Eagle has the same problem, slideout vinyl bunching up at the kitchen island. Dealer is "looking into it", haven't heard anything back yet.

It's been a year with ours and it isn't too bad. When I saw the proposed modification to the cabinet near the sink, I think I prefer the bunching. I haven't tripped over it yet.

This is not an acceptable design as the flooring will wear quickly. I suggest all of you contact Jayco before your warranty expires. Even a small crack or tear would be a legitimate warranty issue. Jayco is usually very good at standing by their warranty.

Angry Curling slide flooring

Hello to all. I know this is an older thread but I'll make my note anyway. As for the date of the units, I just bought 2022 JAYCO fifth wheel and the flooring is so curling up. I took the unit back for little fixes but even those issues were not address though the manager signed off on it. It's really hard to have faith in these dealerships to fix what they are suppose to. I'd rather just fix it myself and not wait for Jayco's fix.
