25rb Flooring problem

I just bought a new 25rb travel trailer, and there's a problem. when I retract the slide out the vinyl flooring hits the sink cabinet causing it to bunch up.
My dealer says that's just the way it is and nothing can be done. I have started the process of contacting Jayco, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. I cant believe that Jayco designed it this way.

No experience, but my next step would be with the dealer owner. They should be better than that, then try to deal with Jayco.

Wow! Who missed that?????
Somewhat simple remedy, cut and hem just the corner or straight cut all the way across.

The dealer seems like they just don’t want to deal with it. I wouldn’t accept that if it were my trailer.

I have a 25RB as well and the flooring bunches up in the same spot. After closing the slide, I reach down and I un-bunch it and roll the edge up. It seems to work well.

They should have kept the carpet option.

Not trying to take over this thread and sorry for the long message but since you are all 25RB owners I thought I would drop this question here. We just picked up our 2021 25RB a little over a week ago and our bedroom door wouldn't set flush against the wall when closed. There was a 5/8" gap at the top and the bottom edge of the door was against the exterior wall at the bottom. I took a bunch of measurements and used a 6' level and determined that the door was actually installed correctly. It is square with the ceiling and floor and with the camp side exterior wall. The off camp side exterior wall is out of square and has a bow in it running horizontally all the way up to the slide out. With my 6' level up against the bottom of the wall and the top of the wall there is a 3/8"-1/2" bow in the center of the wall. My question is: Do any of your units have this issue? How is this possible if these walls are aluminum framed and supposedly pressed with 144 tons of pressure and vacuum bonded? Is this common in travel trailers (this only our second so not a lot of experience)? I set up an appointment with my dealer to look at this as well as a couple other small things. I can't help but wonder though what can really be done about it? They can't tear the whole camper apart to fix it.

I thought the vinyl flooring was glued down. Just curious as to how this happens.

Mine does the same thing, but I bend it up before it hits the cabinet. It wont last forever doing this for sure.

I know it doesn't seem proper, but when my customers bring these type of issues to my attention I tell them that Jayco has over 60 engineers, who are alot smarter than me, and I'm sure they're aware of this. If it becomes too much of an issue I'm confident Jayco will rectify it. This type of flooring sure beats carpet though,,,doesn't it?

IMO totally unacceptable, especially with a vinyl material.

Was this problem an issue on the 25RB Jay Feather during the 2019 and 2020 model years?

I wonder if the 2021 25RB model year represents the first time "vinyl" was utilized in lieu of carpet?

Bob

I have ordered but not received my 25RB yet. But when reviewing some YouTube videos I see that problem everywhere.

Yes, the 2021 model year was the first time the slide out's vinyl flooring was introduced.

We have a 2021 25RB on order for a Spring delivery. We can only hope Jayco is aware and fixed this issue. We like getting the slide out's carpetless floor.

It is the Slide flooring that overlaps the main camper flooring.

I will call Jayco next week about this issue. Please Post back what their response to you was. I hope they say they know of it and have trimmed back the slide out's flooring.

I sent an email with photos to my Jayco HQ POC to find out if the issue has been fixed. He forwarded my email to his Production Manager. He said there are a lot of employees out for the holidays right now so be patient for a reply.

I will Post back their answer in January.

Reminder to self another reason not to get a slide. Sorry for your problem seams like the slide may need to be shimmed up. Patrick from Travels with Delany on YouTube got a Lance camper last year and the slide was installed wrong it wouldn't extend. I camped across from a Class C a few years ago in Williamsburg VA and his slide broke in the open position. Slides seam to be more trouble then they are worth
