Adding 2nd Battery or LP To X17z?

Is it possible to add a 2nd battery or 2nd LP tank to our x17z? Do they sell some kind of extension bracket to fit them?

My x20e has a similar sized a-frame area. It has dual LP tanks in a side by side configuration where yours is located. They sit in a special mount with two round space for the bases. I got mine at Albany RV if you want to give them a call.

you should be able to fit 2 group27 batt. and 2 propane tanks. I have my 213 set up with both. it's a tight fit and you need to do a few mods. This will add to your tounge wieght. If you need more picks I could send ya some

Been wondering the same thing about my x23b. Concerned about the extra tongue weight tho. I'm a little close (60#) to max tongue weight so my latest thought is to give it a miss. How's your weight? Let us know what you do.

I thought about the second bottle and battery but am really worried about overall cargo weight and tongue weight. The tongue weight is already really high with a single axle. I also believe on mine I only have 400 pounds of cargo room.

Cheers

yea prob. adds 20- 30 lbs for the 2nd batt. and the same for the second gas bottle. So it's kind of up to you all on what your wieghts are . maybe choose bettween which one would benefit you more gas or power

The second tank should not be a problem just have to buy the base plate for a 2 tank system.. and replace the single base plate with it. You have enough room BEHIND the propane tank(s) for 2 batteries... I had a welding shop make up a L frame bracket and weld it in for my 6 batteries... photos in the mod's section..

I considered the same thing. Found that the 30 pound tank last a long time so I do not need a second tank. I do have a 4.5 pound tank if there is an emergency. I tow with the second battery in the TV. It is an AGM. It is in a battery box and covered up under other cargo.
