Aluminum Stud Finder

I know this is kind of an off the wall question - but i'm wondering if a typical stud finder will locate the aluminum studs in the walls of our Jayco 18 S RB? I'd like to find a light weight medicine cabinet for our bathroom and attach it to the wall studs. While I'm asking can anyone suggest where I might purchase a light weight medicine cabinet for this purpose?

Thanks, KR

No, that is an ON the wall question

Not sure what a "typical" stud finder is.
Some work on density - it seems like they would find aluminum more dense than Styrofoam or fiberglass insulation.

Some work on detecting metal, both metallic (steel, iron) and non-metallic (aluminum).
So they should also detect aluminum studs in the wall.

Aluminum Stud Finder

I have used a stud finder to locate aluminum studs before. I would make sure yours works by testing it on a location that you can see the stud before drilling.
I did that and can attest that I still puckered![emoji15]
