Nobody at the dealer told us that there was storage under the couch when we bought ours.
I have also seen a thread where somebody removed the front panel from the outside storage. This gives you access to the curved area in front. Not really big, but will fit longer stuff if needed.
I was thinking of opening mine up and mounting an inverter in there

That curved area in the front is massive. It's 8 feet long 22 inch wide and 30 inch high.
Open the box on the bottom bunk/take the top off all you have to do is take out some screws and cut the top along the cabinet wall and you have a massive storage area.

Has anyone actually measured the hitch weight of their X213? I just got two 6v batteries and I wanted an idea of what I was working with.

I run 2 12v. When you wire in series 2 (6v) you double the voltage but the amperage doesn't. That's why 2 12v are better because in parallel the amperage adds up.

Series 2x 6v=12v
Amperage example 1 battery 450amp and one at 500amp
You will only see 500 amp not 950.

Parallel
2x 12v=12v
Amperage
1 at 700amps and 1 at 800 amps
You will have 1500 amps available.
It's always best to buy deep cycle batteries with the or very close amperage.

Ours is about the same, maybe a bit higher when we have the bunk area loaded with bikes. Our yellow sticker is 4376# and loaded we're right about 5500#.

Just bought a 2012 X213, and figured I'd join the site. Looks like I have 26 pages of catching up to do.
One question I do have about this trailer is the weight rating. Why are the older units like my 2012 rated at 3880 dry, yet the newer unit are rated at 4330?
450LBS is a huge difference for identical trailers.
