I will probably do the same, and for this summer I will go with one deep cycle battery and hope it will run the furnace in the mountains over night until I can recharge during the day.

If it has room for one battery in front of the propane tank then you should be able to modify the metal holder to hold two batteries in the same spot. There is also alot of room inside the bicycle door on the 12-inch shelf. Of course you would have to have a vented case. Another idea i had was cut me a door inside the 12-inch shelf and maybe mount the sealed battery case inside that accessible from inside the storage area near the floor. I dont think there is anything inside the 12-inch shelf. The 2010 model uses that to store to the sewer hose I believe. I want to mount two T105s in the trailer and two more T105's in the back of truck bed and cable them together with HD 4AWG 2-cond cable assy when camping off the power grid. I have Ham Radio needs for lots of battery power in both the trailer and the truck. That would solve both worlds splitting up the battery bank. I would have a total of 450AH battery capacity doing this and still not put too much weight on the trailer tongue.

It is a really tight fit to get 2 batteries on there without serious modifications. I am just going to carry a spare battery in the TV for now and change it out if needed. I have a generator to charge when I am boondocking.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab Laramie 4x4 with the tow package. It has the get up and go to pull our new TT around. My TT is 2800 lbs below my rated tow capacity which is more than enough to bring passengers and extra camping gear.

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition 5.4L 3.73 with the tow package. We just picked up our new to us 2010 X213 (barely used) last week. This is our first TT.

Picked up my 2010 Jayco from the dealer today, it was in for some "goodwill" warranty work. I am SUPER pleased with Jayco. When we bought the unit, since we were the second owners, the warranty did not transfer. I called Jayco about the slideout motor struggling to get the slideout out completely. They told me to bring it in to the dealer and they would take care of it. I picked it up today (2 weeks later) and they put a brand new motor in which is faster and stronger than they last one. They also replaced our kitchen faucet which was suffering from chipped/flaking paint. We are now ready for this up-coming camping season. Thank you Jayco!

Welcome to the JOF, Riverbum. Nice job on the 2nd battery. That space is pretty tight on the 213, huh? Stop over to the New Members forum and say howdy if you would like.

That is pretty cool idea, I assume that you need to disconnect the batteries to access the spare?

no there's room to reach in there and lower the tire . I did have to shim up the gas bottle holder about an inch to get the tire bracket handle room to clear that seemed easier then modifying the bracket handle . also shimmed my L brackets I used for my batteries up off the frame a little bit so I could get my WD brackets room to slide back just a little

I just wanted to post an update on our X213 slide issues.

Jayco replaced our slide motor with the more powerful Tucon motor and our local dealership (Happy Trails RV) adjusted the slide perfectly!

All I can say is that Jayco and Happy Trails RV are companies that understand what customer service is all about. No stories, no excuses, just a positive mindset to correct an issue. Well done guys (and gals!).

We love our X213 and will definitely purchase another Jayco unit in the future.

We were very pleased with our service from Sicard RV in Smithville, Ontario and Jayco customer service. They also put a beefier motor on our 213 slideout and it works like a charm now. The motor is faster and more powerful.

So, are all of the slide/motor issues resolved in the 2012 and 2013 models?

I have to take mine back. The new motor seems to be tripping some sort of internal breaker (if there is such thing) while it is going out and in. I get it almost all the way out and the motor stops. Wait for 10 seconds, I hear a click and the motor is back functional. Push it out another few inches and it trips again, wait ten seconds, click and out it goes again. This goes on 3-4 times before the slide is fully extended (or retraced). Stay tuned

Hello, We are from MI. and just bought a 2013 X213. So far we love it but it has only been 3 times camping. How do you like yours and have you had any issues?
Thanks.
