Awning clanking.

Fall camping is the best! Where I am, the sunshine is losing it's power so I'm not using the awning on my 154BH.

When it's tucked against the TT there's a rattling (kind-of tinny metal on metal) clanking noise any time the trailer moves the slightest bit. Stabilizers down or not. Because it's a manual awning I thought it was in the arms, the way the one slides down inside the other. But tucking rags around those arms proved that wasn't it. My next guess is that it's actually the huge spring inside the awning and it's bouncing inside the awning tube. It's annoying. Any suggestions?

If you can duplicate the rattle by shaking it, climb up a step ladder and listen where the noise is coming from.
Then open it up and see if noise goes away. Then you will have a better idea of where to look. Could be a broken spring. Then again could be loose hardware. Let us know what you find.

I've had a pretty good look on the outside. When the awning is opened up (even partially) the noise is gone. I don't think somethings broken because it works and the tension is quite even. About loose pieces: I have a few thousand miles on it and it hasn't changed for better or worse.
