Bathroom faucet replacement

I found some posts that are several years old on the bathroom faucet being so tight to the sink that you can't get your hands under it and you're always sloshing water on the counter. It seems like such a small thing for Jayco to have changed. Anyway, I pulled mine out today to take with me to pick up a new one. Looking at the small bowl, it really can't come out more than maybe an inch further than now but it just needs to be higher. I'd like to change it to a single handle. Has anyone done this and found a single handle faucet that is "just right"?

I just replaced mine with a standard household faucet. Much nicer and actually able to wash our hands... Here is the one I got: Shop American Standard Covina Chrome 1-Handle 4-in Centerset WaterSense Bathroom Faucet (Drain Included) at Lowes.com

I've replace every faucet in each of the RV's we've owned over the years. They seem to put junk in at the factory. We're waiting for our new 321RSTS and I already have replacement faucets in the garage just waiting to go in the new coach. Real metal isn't that much heavier than the plastic (well ok it is heavier but in the grand scheme of things it just aint that much weight). A high arch pull down in the kitchen is so much easier to use in than the pull out style and a decent arched faucet in the bathroom makes hand washing and teeth brushing much and face washing more pleasant.
I guess it's the little things in life that make some of us smile! :-)

Are the residential and TT faucet fitting sizes the same?

Yes they are interchangeable...

Takes longer to write this post than to install a new faucet from lowes. We'll maybe not but it is silly how easy it is.

This was the first thing I put on my list to change when I got my unit but I've let it ride a whole yr. First time out last week and I decided it had to go. I just want to say though that I am small and I can manage to get one arm and shoulder in there to do the fittings. I feel for you guys doing this! (I previously did it on an RPod and had hoped I'd never have to do it again!)

I had to look at what a pull down is and I like that idea! I see a kitchen change out in my future.....

I changed mine 2 years ago. Big difference, not hard to do.

I could have saved some $$ by getting something other than Kohler, but I full time and I'm worth it.

So do the same faucets work that you would use at home or do you need to buy RV specific replacements. I am picking up my new 27dsrl this week and wanted to have an idea in case we want to replace ours right away.

Regular residential faucets will work just fine. You just get a better selection of style. Rv faucets ( bathroom faucets) are typically plastic whereas residential are brass bodies. Moen, Delta, Kohler, Pfister, Grohe, Hansgrohe,are fine brands for your Rv and can be found at most retailers or your local plumbing wholesaler without breaking the bank.
The only faucet that us an issue in most cases is the shower. The residential ones use an "in wall" valve. The shower hose and spray wand, however, are interchangeable.

Most popular style of kitchen faucet. I've got a new one waiting in a box for when the new 5er shows up.

One thing to keep in mind, if your hot water tank is right under the bathroom sink, like ours in our White Hawk, it is best to go to a single lever faucet. With a separate hot and cold valve faucet, if you turn on the hot faucet first, the water is HOT right now!

With the single lever, you get just warm water and not scalded!

Well I can't quite figure out how to do a picture but I did get this installed and it seems to be the perfect size and placement so thanks for the suggestion!
