Fan noise under the Fridge

I have my 2005 Jayfeather parked and plugged in. Nothing in the camper is turned on (ie fridge, heater/ac, water heater, water pump, etc). I can hear what sounds like a fan from the area under the Fridge. Is this supposed to be running and what is the purpose ? I've never heard it before.

First guess would be the converter cooling fan.

My converter cooling fan cycles on and off with temp and load. Do you see what is causing the noise?

I guess the question now is this normal ? Nothing is running (other than the fan) in the camper but it is summer in Southern IL so the camper gets very warm. If it's normal than I guess I need to unplug the camper until we go again in the fall ?

It is possible that the converter may be charging the battery. If was discharged to any extent the converter may have been charging heavily therefor generating enough heat to cause the fan to run. If your battery is fully charged and nothing else is on the the fan should run infrequently. If it never shuts off then the temperature control circuity that runs the fan could be defective. The usual cure for that would be to replace the converter.

However I would not recommend leaving the RV power 100% of the time without reason. Some people do run the refrigerator all the time. Maybe power up for 4 or 5 hours once a month to keep the battery up.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all of your responses. We just finished our 8th annual trip to Holiday World in Sanata Claus IN. We are probably parking the camper until the fall unless we get an abnormally cool weekend. I usually don't have the camper plugged in during the summer months and have never heard the fan running before this weekend.
