What a blur of a weekend! I only spent about 8 hours awake at the campsite, so for this forum, not much camping to speak of. However, for the sake of sharing my adventures, the weekend was amazing! Exhausting for all the driving both on and off track.

Menu was good as always. DW did spicy grilled chicken with chicken/bacon macaroni and cheese (store bought)

Saturday while I was out, they celebrated her grandmothers birthday. It was nice to have guests out there! Only got to visit for a bit before they left.

The track day was incredible! So many cars. Everything from new Ferrari/Porsche/Lamborghini with paper tags to the stripped down Miata track only cars. Lots of Corvette's too. (I drove the yellow one)

The guy to the left is my Uncle, basically my dad. He owns the car and let me use it Saturday, he drove Sunday.

Edited* Forgot to add, I dropped off the camper at the dealer this afternoon. My fridge still isn't turning on with electricity. Now, I say that, but I haven't had an opportunity to plug into shore power without actually needing to keep something cool. So there's a possibility that it is working fine, and that the LED indicator is not illuminating to show that it is on and working in the electric mode.

Also, we were woken up at 4:40 am to the sound of shrill beeping. The carbon monoxide detector was wailing every minute or so. None of the lights would turn on and the LED there was flashing the "fault" sequence. Flipped the inside breakers first, no fix, flipped the outside panel and everything turned back on. It squealed for 2 seconds and reset back to normal. Kind of scary, glad it was just a fault.

Hello everyone!

Long time no post. We've been enjoying everything over here. The only negative to speak of since ownership almost a year ago is the furnace unit has stopped working twice.

Once, it needed to be pulled out and have the reset switch flipped. Most recently I tried to do the same but it just isn't turning on no matter what I do.

It's not a HUGE deal since we carry a backup space heater, but I couldn't get the unit put back into it's cubby flush. I think the exhaust portion isn't lining up. Probably because I was just frustrated at the time. Oh well!

We have some fun trips planned for 2018 starting in March!

March - Tyler SP - 285 miles
April (Flying) Vegas for a friends wedding
May - Garner SP - 220 miles
June (my birthday) - Inks Lake SP - 195 miles
July - Guadalupe River SP - 230 miles

These are all leave Friday, return Sunday. So, since most of these are 3.5 hours+ I decided to upgrade the TV!!

Check out the new to me 2013 Black Diamond LT Avalanche! First thing I did when I bought it was hook up to the TT and just cruise around town. Wow is it a different experience than with the Trailblazer which did fine!

Main reason was I wanted to be confident and comfortable on the longer drives into the hill country and maybe enable us to go even further out in the future!

Wheels were... not my style so I've already swapped those out.

The truck is currently dropped off at a detail shop to get the swirls and scratches taken care of.

Oh for Pete’s sake keep going!
We’re loading the 195 RB for a trip south next week. Love the lightweight units for their ease of operation
We do have to be organized and not load food till we go and then be careful it doesn’t freeze. It’s around zero
We’re going to dewinterize sanitize then rewinterize before we leave. Sanitizing is kind of messy.
We had the bearings repacked at our dealer and they pointed out that one tire was worn on the inside and the axle bent
Covered under warranty. Jayco authorized repairs within 48 hours
We found a good dealer and will keep them when we upgrade

The repairs were finished quickly but lo we had a pile of snow and our pad at home wasn’t cleared. Dealer understood and kept the unit an extra two weeks. No charge

Took it out last weekend to our home park. Just couldn't let the nice weather go to waste! The truck looks good as new. Can't believe we have 88k miles on the Avalanche!

Good eye! Yes sir. I've been with the company for going a little over 7 years. I started here when I was 19 and today I'm 26. I've been a buffer, body man's helper, lot boy and finally into sales 5 years ago. Our store is a full line GM and I wear many hats. Certified Technology Expert, Certified Cadillac Salesperson, Corvette specialist among a few.

Thank you!

There is nice weather?
We dug out the unit.it froze to the ground
Towed on pure ice for the first miles. Then up a little mountain on snow and ice. No pavement

Finally on our way. Well do five hundred miles today after our start removing a foot of snow and hooking up in deep snow.

These little units do fine. Now if the tail was so big as to wag the dog I’d be unhappy.
Making sure the brakes grab evenly and there is no ice buildup is key to straight stops on slidy surfaces. Oh yes and driving on eggshells
