First Trip

We had our Whitehawk 33BHBS out for the first trip this weekend and couldn't be happier with it. It towed really well with the F150 FX4 trailer package, actually got around 11mpg. Equal-I-Zer took care of all the sway on the way there and we felt just a little on the way home because of high winds. There were tight turns in the campground but we had no issues making them or backing into a tight site, it really tows well. Set up was simple and almost everything worked on the first shot. We had some slight issues getting the refigerator to start up on propane before we left but it finally lit, probably air in the line since this was the first time. Plenty of room for us and two kids, everyone had a great time. If your looking into a ultra lite, the Whitehawk is definitely a greet choice. This is our first RV and turning out to be a great decision. Even though the F150 did a great job, we will consider moving up to a 250 this winter as we plan on taking longer trips next year with more hills but I got to say that the F150 with max tow package is a workhorse. We even saw another Whitehawk in the campground.

Super. We shopped that TT and loved it (have 3 kids). I didn't get it because I was worried it was to much cargo for my TV. Between the fuel and passengers, I only had about 900lbs cargo left. I just didnt want to regret the purchase of a big TT after it's loaded.

Super sweet trailer. Way to go!

That sounds good! We had our new Jayco out for the first time this weekend also and other than the same thing with the fridge in the driveway, everything went smooth. We were already looking forward to the next time out on the ride home...can't wait for retirement!

As for the fridge not working right away, try the stove burners first to get the LP going through the lines, then turn the fridge to Gas or Auto.
That is the way I do it everytime. If you can ignite the stove, the fridge will work.

Yes, that is exactly what I did to "purge" the lines. Worked fine after that. Wish I was in it right now, and on the road, as it has been a terrible day so far at work. Hopefully only 15 more years to retirement!
